Navigating relationships can be hard. I have used my photography to document my personal experiences of being in relationships, my friendship group, and the social life we share together. Sometimes this has been very toxic and challenging to photograph but I have used my inspiration from "Nan Goldin" whose work explores youth culture and captures intimate and personal moments between her and her friends. My commitment to photographing in black and white is a deliberate attempt to reflect and authentic and gritty style. I wanted to create a set of images that reflect these toxic relationships between friends and how they affect us.
